Greenbush Baptist Church was founded as a mission in September 1979. The mission church first met in the Greenbush School, until September 1980 when they began to meet in the new associational building at the corner of Greenbush West and Edgington Road. Pastor Ray Hatton was called to pastor Greenbush Mission in February 1981. In August of 1983 Greenbush Mission constituted into a church and became the Greenbush Baptist Church. The construction of the current building began in August of 1990. The first official Sunday service in the new building was on October 27, 1991. Pastor Ray Hatton served as pastor of Greenbush Baptist for almost 25-years till September 4, 2005, when he retired. Pastor Mike Haley who is the current pastor took over from Pastor Hatton.
Greenbush Baptist Church Today
Greenbush Baptist Church today 2013. The church is still reaching out with the saving love of Jesus just as it has done for over 31-years. Pastor Mike Haley and his wife Brenda and the current members of Greenbush are still following Philippians 3:14 "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
